The inkjet printer model is one that most people understand quite well now. The common analogy is a razor, where you only pay a little for a razor’s head but enough for a razor. In the case of inkjet printers, it is too often the case that only one or two ink refreshes will eclipse the true cost of the printer’s body. The latest Epson plunge into inkjet printing reversed this trend with what Epson calls “Eco tanks” technology. That fancy marketing way talks about different ink boxes of ink cartridges, which is what every other inkjet printer, including its own line, is still continuing with other Epson inkjets used.
The Epson setup of the ET-4550 workforce appeared at first to be synonymous with almost all the other inkjet printers we’ve ever seen. At 51.5 x 55.8 x 24.1 cm and 7.39 kg, that’s pretty decent, but nothing we are too struggling with in terms of installation. There are ordinary tapes keeping everything in the box — in the case of Epson the ET-4550 workforce is bright. But when it was time to install ink, we had a clearly different job ahead of us.
